Rural Times - Autumn 2026 Edition

Rural Times - Autumn 2026 Edition

Good morning,

The latest edition of Rural Times is now available to read on the the Hampshire police website, highlighting recent police activity and matters affecting rural communities now we are in the autumn season: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/SysSiteAssets/media/downloads/hampshire/advice/rural-times/2026/rural-times---autumn-2026.pdf

Some of the issues highlighted in this edition include hare coursing and some recent arrests and cross-border operations linked to this, as well as game bird poaching which we continue to see.

We have also included detail around what our teams on the Isle of Wight have been doing to support rural communities on the Island; and news articles from partners such as the CLA, Forestry England and the Environment Agency.
