Man charged with breaching partial closure order in Basingstoke


A man has been charged with breaching a partial closure order in Basingstoke.

On Tuesday 1 April, officers from Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team secured a partial closure order following reports of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity at a property on Redwood Avenue.

Under conditions of the order, no-one other than those authorised on the court order is allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months.

Officers carried out a check yesterday (1 May) and a man was arrested.

Henry Nwachukwa, 35, of William Ash Close, Dagenham, has been charged with remaining on / entering a premises in contravention of a closure notice.

He has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 May.
