Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

A resident of Oakley reported to Police that a burglary had taken place at their residence. This is said to have occurred between 5pm and just before midnight on the 1st of December.
The circumstances are that the electric gate to the property had been disconnected and access gained to the outbuildings. Numerous items have been stolen which are described as petrol powered tools including Chainsaws etc.
Of note the reporting party received a visit from someone trying to sell tarmac a few weeks previously. It’s not known whether this vehicle is linked directly to the Burglary, but is worth mentioning. The vehicle in which they arrived in was described as being a small silver car.
If anyone may have information in relation to this please call 101 and refer to crime ref no. 44200465190
