Burglary at Romsey Food Bank

Dear residents

We are investigating a report of a burglary at Romsey Food Bank and Freedom Church offices located in the industrial estate on Greatbridge Road.

The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday 29 April.

Entry was gained via forcing the ground floor door and several items of food was stolen from the premises.

We are carrying out a number of enquiries and would ask if anyone saw anything or anyone suspicious in the area between midnight on April 28 and 8am on April 29, to get in contact.

Inspector Chris Taylor said: “The Food bank has never been more important at this challenging time. Thankfully they have enough food, and are not asking for any extra donations. If you, or someone you know, needs support please go to

“Furthermore, if you have any information on who is responsible, please get in contact.”
