Business and residential burglaries

Alert message sent 24/04/2020 22:09:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

There have been a number of burglaries in the local area between Monday 20th April and Thursday 23rd April 2020. The unknown offender(s) have been targeting businesses and residential sheds and garages that may contain tools, chainsaws, hedge strimmers and drills.

I would just like to raise your awareness and remind you to be vigilant to help prevent and reduce crime in your neighbourhood.

Please remember to ensure you close and lock your windows and doors when left unattended and that sheds and garages are fully secured. We suggest that all valuable items are registered on Immobilise helps us identify owners of stolen property and get it back to you if it is recovered. Please also consider extra security measures that you could put in place. Simple battery powered shed alarms are affordable and effective. You may also want to re-think where you are storing your tools or any valuable items and how they are being stored.

If you have witnessed anything that you believe to be suspicious in your area please contact us on 101. If you believe a burglary is in progress call us on 999.

Many thanks,

PCSO Lisa MOORE 16345
