Further drugs seizures on the Isle of Wight

The proactive work to tackle illegal drug use and drugs supply continues on the Isle of Wight.
 
A vehicle was stopped in Clatterford Road, Newport, on Saturday evening (7 March) and the driver, a 20-year-old man, was found in possession of cannabis.
 
He was dealt with by means of a community resolution whereby he must attend a drugs diversionary course.
 
Similarly, on the same day a 27-year-old man was dealt with by means of community resolution for possession of cannabis in Ryde High Street. He is required to engage with drug services on the Island.
 
Finally, officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and cannabis from the driver of a car parked at Culver Down in the early hours of this morning (9 March). Our enquiries continue.
