CCTV images released following robbery at Portsmouth shop last night

Alert message sent 03/03/2020 15:23:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Officers investigating a robbery at a Portsmouth store last night have released CCTV images.

The images show two men they would like to speak to following the incident at Costcutters in Outram Road yesterday (March 2).

Staff called police after two masked men entered the store shortly before 11pm.

One of the men stayed at the door while the other threatened staff, went behind the counter and stole cash from the till.

The pair then fled the store.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during the robbery but staff at the store are understandably shaken by what happened.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously outside of the store last night.

While the images are not clear, we’re hoping someone might recognise something about the clothing worn by both men or might remember seeing someone similar in the area.

If you think you can help us, please call 101, quoting 44200080440, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
