Hello Hayling Island!
 
Here are some incidents of note that Hampshire Constabulary have been dealing with throughout September 2019 on Hayling Island, including Burglaries, Criminal Damage, Theft, Drugs-related offences and Road Traffic offences.

BURGLARIES
 
02/09/2019 - Ref – 44190326099
Resident in Northney reporting that their garage was broken into overnight and an outboard motor stolen.
 
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
 
17/09/2019 – Ref – 44190331487
Hobbs Chemists on Elm Grove reported that someone has damaged their front window overnight.
 
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
 
05/09/2019 – Ref 44190315938
A vehicle parked on Brights Lane was broken into overnight and a number of tools were stolen.
 
06/09/2019 – Ref 44190317788
An attempt to access a vehicle parked in Elm Close Estate was made sometime overnight. Nothing was stolen.
 
10/09/2019 – Ref 44190322193
A van parked on Havant Road was accessed overnight and a number of high-value tools were taken.
 
ROAD TRAFFIC OFFENCES
 
07/09/2019
A male was stopped by police on Manor Way in the early hours. A breath test was conducted and the male was found to be over almost double the legal limit. The driver was therefore arrested and charged. At court, he was subsequently disqualified for 18 months and must pay over £400 costs.
 
16/09/2019
Vehicle stopped in the early hours on Southwood Road after being seen driving at excess speed. The male driver admitted to consuming alcohol and was breath-tested. He was found over the limit, arrested and subsequently charged. At court, he was disqualified for 12 months and must pay over £200 costs.
