Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

During the day of the 21st January, persons have entered the grounds of an address in BINLEY, Basingstoke Rural. A neighbouring property that they have drifted onto have challenged the persons to which they responded saying that they were looking for scrap metal. The persons have left the area empty handed after being challenged. CCTV has captured images of the persons and an index of the vehicle they were driving. At this time there are no offences that have taken place and Police have obtained images and Index for any future enquiries that may arise.
Police are promoting (#paint it pink) campaign which refers to any vehicle batteries that maybe used to power electric fences or similar, to paint them pink to prevent scrap metal merchants from accepting them suspecting that they may have been stolen.
