Modern day slavery investigation update

We just wanted to update you that the three men and three women arrested on suspicion of slavery offences following a police operation in Southampton yesterday, have been released from police custody but remain under investigation.

Officers investigating continue to carry out enquiries.

Two women, aged 35 and 40-years-old are being treated as victims and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Information from the communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight is key in identifying criminal activity connected to organised crime and modern day slavery.
