WARRANTS EXECUTED

WARRANTS EXECUTED: Officers in the New Forest have today (Thursday 2 May) sent out another clear message that drug-related activity will not be tolerated in our communities.

Shortly before 7am, two Section 8 (PACE) warrants were executed at addresses in Ringwood – one on Wessex Estate and another on Hampton Drive.

At the Hampton Drive property, a 19-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested on suspicion of attempt to possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

He was also detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – controlled drug of Class B – into the United Kingdom.

Cannabis, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones were also all seized from the address.
Meanwhile, following the warrant on Wessex Estate, a 20-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested in Gillingham, Dorset.

He was detained on suspicion of improper importation of goods – controlled drug of Class B – into the United Kingdom. Mobile phones were also seized at the Wessex Estate address.

Reflecting on the warrants afterwards, New Forest Detective Inspector Tim Sivarajah said: “This is yet another example of our continued efforts to relentlessly pursue criminals causing the most harm to our communities.
“We will continue with our operations, but can only do so with your support.

“Please continue to contact us on 101 or the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website to report any incidents you feel warrant police attention. In addition, you can also contact Crimestoppers.”
