NOT ONE, BUT TWO! - PC Luana and PC Lynsey were on fire this afternoon with back to back vehicle stops.  Using local knowledge, a coppers nose and the new ANPR access app we have, they located a van which has been driven locally on false number plates. Having stopped the vehicle, checks were made with the VIN and it was confirmed as having been stolen from London. The driver was dealt with and the van was recovered to secure storage so it can be returned to its owner.  👏🏼

Later on, they were patrolling Gosport when another vehicle came to their attention. It was suspected that it was being driven by a disqualified driver. The vehicle was stopped and with more checks it was confirmed that the driver did not have a valid driving licence and as such there was no insurance in place for him to drive the vehicle. He was reported for the two offences and in due course he will receive a summons to appear in court. 👏🏼

If this isn't a reminder to make sure you have a valid driving licence and insurance before you get behind the wheel I don't know what is!
